Bemerkungen
After 6 months of braces, orthodontic and esthetic problems were improved for the patient.
- To achieve orthodontic goals:
- IPR and the upper/ lower teeth were expanded to create space for alignment.
- Distalization of the upper teeth was completed with class II bilateral elastics in order to improve the class II malocclusion, increased overjet as well as protrusive incisors.
- To achieve esthetic goals:
- Careful analysis of the "esthetic smile" was completed in 3 sub-categories: macro-esthetic (face), mini-esthetic (smile), and micro-esthetic (gingiva and teeth).
- All of the esthetic problems were noted and the treatment plan was designed to improve the listed issues as much as possible.
