Bemerkungen
- A scissors bite is difficult to treat for all types of orthodontic appliances
- We tried to successfully treat this case with aligners and used an experimental new way to open the bite while correcting the scissors bite of all 5 posterior teeth
- We added attachments on the buccal cusps of all lower molars as a bite block to separate upper and lower arches
- These attachments were never bonded on teeth
- The result is quite satisfying and the occlusal relationship was great
- The lower arch was well expanded and the scissors bite was fully corrected
- All treatment goals were accomplished.
