- In this case, I guided the advancement of the lower jaw through the use of an MA device.
- During the treatment, I avoided retracting the position of the upper anterior teeth and prevented increasing the torque of central and lateral incisors.
- Simultaneously, I intruded both the upper and lower anterior teeth to reduce any occlusal interference that could affect the forward movement of the chin.
- Once the jaw position reached the treatment goal, I cut the wings of the aligner to reduce the side effects of posterior open bite that can result from MA treatment.
