Treatment planning

  • Appointment 1: The healing abutments were removed and replaced by implant scan bodies in the area corresponding to tooth #46 and #47 followed by iTero scan for fabrication of crowns.
  • Appointment 2: On the insertion visit, the healing abutments were removed and try-in of the implant abutments and crowns were done. Post correction of the contact and occlusion, implant abutments were torqued into place as recommended by the manufacturer, crowns were seated in the area corresponding to tooth #46 and #47 and implant screw holes were filled with Teflon tape and resin composite following which oral hygiene instructions were given to the patient.

Commenti

A female patient was referred for the crown fabrication after 3 months of the implant placement. X-ray was taken to check bone healing.
