Treatment planning

Commenti
- Orthodontic extrusion often carries a risk of relapse within the short duration of final impressions being taken and permanent crowns being delivered from the lab.
- The use of an Intraoral scanner enabled us to keep the attachments in place till the time final restorations were delivered.
- The fixed attachments were removed virtually by the lab and the prosthesis could be successfully made without compromising the fit or taking a chance with relapse.
- Getting a symmetrical gingival contour and matching zenith is a difficult task requiring periodontal surgery. In this case, we were able to facilitate new restorations with improved gingival architecture non-surgically by orthodontic extrusion followed by the use of an Intraoral scanner to retain the corrections and make better-fitting restorations.
