The ideal outcome was achieved through a combination of expansion, proclination, acute monitoring and a very detailed treatment plan. The overbite improved quite significantly and the overjet was reduced with Class II elastics. Buccal occlusion was monitored during the retention phase and this has settled well. Teeth 17 and 27 erupted during the retainer phase; therefore, a new retainer was made in order to cover the occlusal surfaces and to prevent supraeruption. Teeth 17 and 27 were not present during the active treatment phase.
