- Appointment 1 - The patient presented with a complaint of a big cavity at an upper left posterior tooth. After a complete oral evaluation various treatment options were presented to the patient, the patient chose to go for a dental implant treatment. All data were recorded.
- Appointment 2 - Tooth #26 was removed and replaced by a dental implant.
- Appointment 3 - Three months after implant placement, the patient returned for crown fabrication on the implant. The healing abutment was removed and replaced by a scanbody and an intraoral scan was was taken. After the scan was completed, the scanbody was removed and replaced by the same healing abutment.
- Appointment 4 - The healing abutment was removed. The crown was seated on the implant using a screw. Occlusion, contact, and contour were checked. The implant-abutment screw was torqued following the manufacturer's recommendation. The screw hold was filled with TPE tape and resin composite. Appointments were made for future review at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and every 6 months.
