- Having rejected the option of orthognathic surgery or fixed orthodontic appliances, the patient was treated with the extractions of the mandibular first premolar and the maxillary right third molar and Invisalign aligners.
- In the upper arch, space was created via expansion and unilateral distalisation in the upper right side.
- In the lower arch power arms features were used on the teeth adjacent to the extraction sites, in order to achieve bodily movement and avoid tipping.
- Class II elastics were used part-time on the right side for anchorage during distalisation.
- After 41 aligners, a refinement set was made to correct molar root torque and correct root tipping in the extraction site.
- A short 2nd refinement was made to detail the occlusion and smile aesthetics.
