  • Gender: male
  • Invisalign Treatment Option: Invisalign Full

Total Treatment Time

  • 26 months

Number of aligners

  • Maxillary: 56 + 16 = 72
  • Mandibulary: 56 + 16 + 10 = 82

Aligner Wear time

  • 15 days for the first 3 months, every 10 days for the rest and 7 days for the final aligners.

Retention

  • Maxillary: Fixed/Bonded
  • Mandibular: Fixed/Bonded

Results achieved

  • Class I relationship achieved
  • Functional canine guidance on both sides
  • Normal  overjet and overbite achieved
  • Overjet improved
  • Significant improvement of overbite
  • Significant improvement of overjet
  • Midlines coincident
  • Proper axial inclination of incisors
  • Arches aligned and coordinated
  • Alignment of both arches through derotation
  • Arch form improved
  • Aesthetic smile line was achieved
  • All treatment goals were achieved case
  • Harmonic arches were achieved

Comments

  • Distalization was planned for the upper left arch and a combination of distalization and mesialization for the upper right arch
  • Class II elastics (6 1/2 oz 4.8mm heavy) were advised for night use only
  • At the end of the initial aligners, the closure of all extraction spaces was achieved
  • For midline correction the patient used class 2 elastics on the left side and class 3 elastics on the right side during the 2nd additional aligners phase
  • The patient's cooperation was so good that he used elastics for 24/7 instead of only during the night
  • This great patient cooperation made it possible to achieve midline and anterior-posterior corrections at aligner 16 rather than aligner 20
  • At the final refinement, IPR on lower anterior and extrusion of the upper anterior were planned for a better overbite and overjet relationship
