Comments
- This case is skeletal Class II(ANB=6°) with maxillary protrusion and mandibular retraction.
- The appropriate treatment was to suppress maxillary arch development and promote the forward growth of the mandible.
- Three-dimensional adjustments on the upper and lower arches were very important in Class II malocclusion treatment.
- Horizontally, I used aligners to expand the upper arch by 3mm per side.
- Vertically, I used G5 attachments to help leveling the Spee curve and correct deep bite.
- Sagitally, I distalized upper molars to retract upper anterior teeth and decrease anterior overjet.
- Light force(3/16,3.5oz) Class II elastics are used to guide the mandible forward.
