Clinical Conditions: Narrow arch, Posterior crossbite, Crowding, Functional shift
Treatment time: 24 days active expansion with IPE (24 IPE stages, changed daily)
Treatment goal: Skeletal Expansion of the maxilla, Correct right crossbite and address midlines
Treatment: 24 upper expanders (IPE), 23 lower aligners (Invisalign First)
Treatment plan: Upper Invisalign Palatal Expander
Planned Expansion (mm): 6.0 mm
Results: Expansion was achieved
Last worn active expander stage: 25
Expander Change frequency: Daily
Holding protocol: 5 months using Invisalign Palatal Holders
Holder change frequency: Every 2 weeks

• This patient required a bit more care but because of the ease of use adjusted very quickly to the expanders.
• Hygiene was easily managed because of frequent changes in expanders.
• Patient did not note any sensitivity to her dentition.
• Mother and patient loved working with the IPE and would recommend it to friends and family members.
• Bonding attachments and fitting expanders was no different than Comprehensive or Invisalign First™ cases and made the ease of use for my staff simple and easy to amalgamate to my practice.
