Comments

  • For better anchorage, we did not move the deciduous and permanent molars
  • The diastemas were quickly redistributed with the aid of attachments to ensure adaptation
  • The pontic for tooth 1.2 was excellent and allowed a correct eruption of this tooth during active treatment
  • The ellipsoidal posterior retention attachments allowed good alignment of the aligners throughout the treatment
  • At the time we planned this case the optimized retention attachments were not available
  • These optimized retention attachments would be our first choice because of the good combination of reduced size and retention
  • Near the end of treatment, extraction of teeth 7.4 and 8.4 was requested due to ankylosis
  • We kept some attachments for better retention of retainers that the patient is using at the moment
  • This was a phase I treatment which will be continued with a phase II
