Treatment planning

Appointment 1:

  • The patient was referred to our clinic for a crown restoration on implant #47.
  • At first, we removed the healing abutment and replaced it with a scan body.
  • We then performed an intraoral scan and sent the data to the dental laboratory.
  • After the scan, we removed the scan body and reinserted the healing abutment into the implant.

Appointment 2:

  • During this visit, we removed the healing abutment and proceeded to try the new crown on the implant.
  • We carefully evaluated the occlusion, contact, and contour of the crown to ensure a proper fit.
  • Following the implant company's guidelines, we then securely torqued the crown onto the implant.
  • The patient received oral hygiene instructions, and we scheduled a follow-up appointment.
